This is the Norwegian Doctors' Association's (Legeforeningen) subgroup for Medical Students. They act as our representative in all matters regarding medical education and students' rights for Norwegian medical students. Additionally, they provide you with many other opportunities you should check out. They are also the Norwegian branch of the IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations). We think all of our members should also be members of NMF, as this is imperative to ensure we and the Norwegian medical students studying in Norway both get the best out of our education and future work as doctors. The membership price is low and it is downright disloyal not to be a member.
The Association of Norwegian Students Abroad are another politically independent interest organization working for our rights. They ensure we have the financial means to study medicine and that our government takes the best possible care of us, as well as organizing social events and being a supportive framework for all the students studying abroad, in good times and bad times. They have a combination membership with NMF, so you can be a member of both for a very discounted price. Another membership you must have. This is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your fellow students.
The Six-Year Student Government is the political arm of the international MD and DDS students at school. They work for our rights in relation to the Jagiellonian University. They consist of the class representatives from each year, which are chosen on a year to year basis. The work they do is not often seen by other students, but it is very important to ensure the best possible quality of our medical studies. They also grant funds to persons and to many of our initiatives to help them develop and organize social events.
European Educational Consultants is the Scandinavian representative of the Jagiellonian University - they organize the entrance exams for the Scandinavian MD and DDS candidates to CMUJ. Mrs. Ellen Bergene is the company's Director and she has been working with this since 2002 and helped many Norwegian students achieve their dream of becoming doctors. Copernica and EEC cooperate on a regular basis to make studying at CMUJ:SME a unique and memorable experience. Contact EEC if you dream of studying medicine and want to join us in Kraków.
This is the Polish IFMSA branch local to Krakow and CMUJ. Like NMF, they offer support, training courses, social events and exchange possibilities to their members.
